Job description

Current job opportunities are posted here as they become available.

Reporting to the CFO and serving on the Leadership Team, the Head of Technology will lead the company’s technology strategy and ensure IT investments support enterprise priorities and sustainable growth. The role oversees the multi-year IT roadmap, critical enterprise initiatives, Microsoft Business Central and other business systems, cybersecurity, data and analytics, AI and automation, project management, vendor relationships, and the IT budget. Success will require a business-minded, hands-on leader who can earn credibility quickly, collaborate across departments, and translate technology risks and opportunities into clear business outcomes.

Candidates must reside in the Atlanta area to be considered for this role.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Own the company's multi-year IT roadmap, aligning technology investments with enterprise priorities and sustainable growth

Identify, prioritize, and personally drive the company's Tier 1 initiatives—the highest-impact, enterprise-critical projects, ensuring they are scoped, resourced, and delivered on time

Elevate the IT team from strong doers into a strategic function, developing talent and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Optimize the Microsoft Business Central environment and lead the broader enterprise systems agenda, improving integration, efficiency, and business value

Own cybersecurity end-to-end; policies, controls, vendor management, and employee awareness, keeping the company's risk posture appropriate for its stage and scale

Build out the data and analytics infrastructure that powers reporting, business intelligence, and faster, better decisions

Develop and execute an AI and automation strategy, identifying high-value use cases and a responsible, practical adoption roadmap in collaboration with the AI Steering Committee.

Establish formal project management discipline so initiatives are scoped, resourced, and delivered with rigor

Lead IT transaction readiness for a potential PE sale or IPO, systems scalability, data room preparation, audit and compliance readiness, and cybersecurity diligence

Manage the IT budget with transparency and discipline, making the case for investment in terms the CFO and Leadership Team can evaluate and trust

Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, Legal, and HR teams to ensure technology decisions are grounded in business need

Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring the company gets full value from its technology partnerships

Represent IT on the Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise strategy as a pragmatic voice on technology risk, opportunity, and investment

Education/Experience

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent field.

Proven ability to build and develop IT teams, shifting culture from reactive and tactical to proactive and strategic

Demonstrated project management discipline, including PMO experience or equivalent rigor in managing a portfolio of technology initiatives

15 or more years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 or more years in a VP of IT or equivalent role at a company of comparable or larger scale

Familiarity with AI and automation tools and a practical, grounded perspective on how to apply them in a business of this scale

Strong background in enterprise systems, with hands-on experience optimizing or leading ERP environments; Microsoft Business Central or similar mid-market ERP experience is a plus

End-to-end cybersecurity ownership experience, including policy development, vendor oversight, and compliance readiness

Executive presence and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with the CFO, CEO, PE sponsors, and the broader Leadership Team

Experience building data and analytics infrastructure in a mid-market business environment

A leadership style that is direct, curious, collaborative, and energizing to the people around you

CPG, food and beverage, or consumer products industry experience is a nice to have, not a requirement

Demonstrated experience in a PE-backed company, with direct exposure to transaction readiness, due diligence, or a liquidity event strongly preferred

Key Skills Required

Strong analytical mindset, decision-making and problem-solving skills

Ability to influence – communicate clearly and concisely to gain alignment and drive action across varying audiences

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Time management and project management skills a must!

Attention to details and dedication to getting things right

Maintain high level of organization, time management and project management skills, commitment to follow through, enthusiasm, and motivation

Standard professional office environment with a hybrid work schedule. Employees are expected to work on-site 2-3 days per week, with specific in-office days determined by business needs, including collaboration, planning sessions, training activities, and other team or leadership meetings.

Travel

Minimal; up to 20%

Characteristics Needed to be Successful

You are a business athlete who has a keen understanding of how to utilize and implement technology to execute business strategy and initiatives. You bring the strategic instincts of a business leader and the credibility of someone who has built and run IT organizations. You are as comfortable presenting a technology roadmap to a PE board as you are talking through Business Central optimization with your team. You understand the best technology leaders do not just solve technical problems, they solve business problems with technology.

You are a builder. You have taken teams stuck in execution mode and helped them develop a strategic vision. You know how to do this without disrupting what works, and that earning trust comes before changing things.

You are credible under pressure. You have been through a transaction, diligence, or IPO readiness, and you know what it takes to get a technology function ready for that scrutiny. You do not panic when the stakes go up. You get organized.

You are someone people can count on. Your team knows you are invested in their growth and will be straight with them. Your peers on the Leadership Team know you will follow through on what you commit to. The CFO knows that when you ask for investment, you have connected it to a business outcome.
