Head Start Preschool Assistants- IU Countywide (26/27 SY) JobID: 4358
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with adults and children
Assist the teacher in caring for children
Qualifications
CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education required within 2 years of hire
Previous experience working in a childcare/preschool setting strongly preferred
Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required within one year of hire
Clearance as an MA provider by Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
NSOR Clearance upon hire
Note: If hired without an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA, employees must fulfill an educational requirement to obtain their CDA within 2 years of hire.
Salary Range
PRJ, Based on years of experience in a relevant position
Schedule
7.5 hours per day (8 AM - 4 PM), 5 days per week, 200 days a year

Gordon Early Literacy Center: Coatesville, PA
TCHS Pickering: Phoenixville, PA
Engle Education Center: West Grove, PA
