Header SupervisorThe Header Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the header assembly operations within a durable goods manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The supervisor will lead a team of operators and technicians, coordinating workflow and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime. They will also collaborate closely with maintenance and quality assurance teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, the Header Supervisor ensures that the manufacturing process aligns with company goals and customer expectations, driving operational excellence in the Channel, CHAN facility.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanical fields is preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.Strong understanding of header assembly processes and durable goods manufacturing operations.Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced production setting.Basic knowledge of safety standards and quality control procedures relevant to manufacturing.Preferred Qualifications:Associate degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and production tracking software.Certification in safety management or supervisory training programs.Previous experience working in durable goods manufacturing within a similar role.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate daily header assembly line activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.Manage, train, and motivate a team of operators and technicians to maintain high performance and adherence to safety protocols.Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with maintenance teams to promptly address mechanical issues and reduce downtime.Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet company and industry specifications.Analyze production data and generate reports to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the work area.Facilitate communication between production, maintenance, and quality assurance departments to optimize workflow.Skills:The Header Supervisor utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to effectively manage and motivate their team, ensuring smooth production flow. Technical skills are essential for understanding the header assembly process, diagnosing equipment issues, and collaborating with maintenance personnel. Analytical skills are applied when reviewing production data to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements. Knowledge of safety and quality standards is critical to maintain compliance and uphold product integrity. Additionally, proficiency with manufacturing software and continuous improvement tools supports data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.
