nLocation: Chula Vista, CA
nThe School LPN/LVN provides nursing support to students in the school setting in accordance with state nursing regulations and scope of practice requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring student health concerns, administering medications and treatments as delegated or ordered, providing first aid and care for illness or injury, and supporting students with chronic health needs. The School LPN/LVN maintains accurate health records, communicates with families and school staff regarding student health needs, and works closely with the school nurse to help ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. The position also promotes health education, disease prevention, and student well-being while following district policies and state education requirements.
nMinimum Requirements:
nnnCurrent, active LPN/LVN license
n
nnOne (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in a school,pediatric, community health, or public health setting, preferred
n
nnExperience working with children and adolescents.
n
nnKnowledge of community health resources and public healthservices.
n
nnComplies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
n
nnCurrent CPR if applicable
n
nnTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
n
nnCurrent Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
n
nnMust meet all federal, state and local requirements
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age
