Job description
Certified Nursing AssistantAssess the total need of the student; Makes decisions in emergency situations and practices first aid measures; Is responsible for accurate observations, evaluations and reporting of student symptoms, reactions and progress to the school nurse; Provides direct nursing care to an individual student and administers special treatments as ordered within the scope of practice of a certified nursing assistant; Inventories nursing supplies and equipment and notifies the parent and the school nurse of supply and equipment needs, including replacement and repair; Notifies parents of accident or illness and secures medical care for the student in an emergency; Maintains confidentiality; Assists children with instructional program outlined and approved by the teacher; Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledgeable in practices of Universal Precautions, blood borne pathogens and communicable diseases; Knowledgeable in modern office practices, methods, and computer equipment; Current CNA certification is required; Hold a valid California Driver's License; Current CPR/First Aid Certification; Experience and/or education in the area of children.SUBMIT: Complete Application Resume Transcripts Copy of CNA certification Two Letters of Recommendation Cover Letter
