Job description
Encompass Health, a national leader in post-acute inpatient rehabilitation, is seeking a HIMS Supervisor to lead our health information management operations. In this on-site role, you will oversee medical records workflows, supervise and mentor HIMS staff, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation that supports exceptional patient care for individuals recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, complex orthopedic conditions, and other serious illnesses. You will manage audits, release of information, and record retention, while maintaining HIPAA and regulatory compliance. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary clinical team, you’ll help optimize EHR use, improve documentation processes, and support data reporting needs.
