Job description
FieldBridge is looking for a Wellsite HSE Supervisor in Hobbs, NM to work for one of the world's largest oilfield services companies.
Pay/Schedule: $65.00 - $85.00/hour | Rotational field schedule with significant night shift coverage | Travel required across western United States | Weekly pay every Friday
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wellsite HSE Supervisor for a landmark geothermal well construction project in New Mexico — part of a turnkey geothermal energy program designed to deliver 150 megawatts of clean base load power supporting data center operations across the state. As the sole on-site HSE authority during your shift, frequently at night with limited immediate support, you will hold full stop-work authority, manage geothermal-specific hazards including high-temperature fluid returns, steam, H2S, and hard-rock drilling conditions, and interface with customer representatives who may have no prior oilfield experience. Candidates from geothermal, mining, or hard rock HSE backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain continuous HSE presence on location including night shift and exercise stop-work authority without hesitation regardless of cost or schedule consequence
Monitor and verify controls for geothermal-specific hazards including high-temperature returns, steam, H2S, and hard-rock drilling risks across all crews on site
Verify contractor and service company compliance with HSE requirements including personnel competency, equipment certification, and environmental controls
Maintain emergency response readiness including medevac plans, gas detection, and breathing apparatus; plan, run, and document emergency drills
Deliver site orientation for all personnel including non-technical customer representatives and visitors on active drilling locations
Required Qualifications
7 or more years of wellsite or field HSE experience with continuous site presence required
Formal HSE qualification required: NEBOSH, CSP, ASP, CHST, OSHA 30 or equivalent
Current H2S, emergency response, and incident investigation certifications required
Demonstrated experience exercising stop-work authority on live operations
Geothermal, high-temperature, steam, or hard rock site HSE experience strongly preferred
Dual medic qualification — EMT, paramedic, or remote medical technician — preferred
Must pass medical and fitness-for-duty requirements for remote field work
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Equal opportunity employer committed to workplace diversity and inclusion.
