Job description
Healthcare Armed Security OfficerIC Security is hiring Armed Healthcare Security Officers to support hospitals and healthcare facilities. This position focuses on patient safety, staff protection, customer service, and maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment.Armed Officers will provide a highly visible security presence, patrol healthcare facilities, respond to security incidents and emergencies, and use sound judgment and de-escalation techniques when handling challenging situations.What You'll Do:Patrol hospital and healthcare facilitiesMaintain a visible armed security presenceAssist patients, visitors, and healthcare staffMonitor entrances, exits, and restricted areasObserve and report suspicious activity and safety concernsRespond to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbancesComplete detailed incident reports and daily activity logsUtilize de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniquesAssist with access control and visitor managementProtect patients, staff, visitors, and facility propertyCoordinate with healthcare staff, supervisors, and law enforcementSafely carry and maintain assigned firearm in accordance with company and client policiesWhy Work with IC Security?Stable full-time opportunitiesProfessional healthcare environmentCareer growth opportunitiesOngoing training and developmentOpportunity to make a difference in your communityQualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Valid California Driver's LicenseValid California BSIS Guard CardValid California Firearms Permit2 years of armed security experience requiredCurrent First Aid/CPR/AED CertificationHigh School Diploma or higherCurrent Baton Permit/CardCurrent Handcuff PermitHealthcare vaccinations or immunizations, including TB, MMR, and VaricellaMust pass a Live Scan background investigation and client approval processAbility to remain calm and professional in challenging situationsAbility to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periodsMust have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)Strong communication and customer service skillsPreferred Experience:1+ year of Healthcare or Hospital Security experience2+ years of Armed Security experienceCustomer Service or Hospitality experienceMilitary or Law Enforcement experience a plusEqual Opportunity Employer:Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. is an affirmative action employer who provides equal employment opportunities to minorities, females, veterans, and disabled individuals, as well as other protected groups.
