Healthcare Litigation Associate - California (Remote)
Must Be Licensed in California
A nationally recognized healthcare law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing California practice. This is a fully remote opportunity offering sophisticated litigation work, direct client interaction, meaningful responsibility, and long-term career development within one of the most complex and rapidly evolving sectors of the economy.
The practice represents hospitals, health systems, physician groups, medical practices, post-acute care providers, clinical laboratories, pharmacies, and emerging healthcare companies in complex litigation, regulatory disputes, investigations, and other high-stakes matters. Prior healthcare litigation experience is not required. Attorneys with strong litigation backgrounds and an interest in healthcare law are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Handle litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive filings
Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written work product
Take and defend depositions and participate in witness preparation
Assist with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and dispute resolution
Collaborate with attorneys across litigation, regulatory, investigations, compliance, and transactional practices
Manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership
2+ years of litigation experience
Strong motion practice, discovery, deposition, and legal writing skills
Excellent analytical, research, and oral advocacy abilities
Ability to independently manage matters while working collaboratively within a team environment
Experience with complex commercial litigation, healthcare litigation, regulatory litigation, investigations, employment litigation, insurance coverage, or other sophisticated litigation matters is a plus
Interest in healthcare law, regulatory issues, and highly regulated industries strongly preferred

Competitive base salary ranging from $195,000 to $360,000, depending on experience and qualifications
