Role Description The Healthcare Provider at Canvas Medical Spa will deliver high-quality, patient-centered medical aesthetic and wellness services in an on-site, full-time role based in Stamford, CT. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive consultations, assessing medical histories, developing individualized treatment plans, and performing a range of non-surgical aesthetic procedures and wellness treatments. The Healthcare Provider will educate patients on treatment options, safety, and aftercare, while documenting encounters accurately and maintaining compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards. This role will collaborate closely with the spa’s clinical and support teams to ensure seamless, luxurious experiences and consistent, natural results aligned with the Canvas philosophy. The Healthcare Provider will also participate in ongoing training, contribute to quality improvement, and support practice growth through professional, ethical, and empathetic patient interactions.
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse, or Physician in the state of Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain), with appropriate certifications for medical aesthetics and wellness practice.
Clinical experience in medical aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, or related fields, including hands-on proficiency with injectables, laser treatments, skin procedures, and wellness services (e.g., weight management, hormone optimization) preferred.
Strong patient assessment, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making skills, with a commitment to safety, evidence-based practice, and accurate documentation in electronic health records.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, provide clear education, and deliver compassionate, non-judgmental care to a diverse patient population.
High attention to detail and an aesthetic sensibility aligned with natural, refined outcomes; ability to integrate patient goals with sound medical judgment.
Comfort working in a boutique, luxury environment, including maintaining professionalism, discretion, and a welcoming demeanor in all patient interactions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, manage a steady patient schedule, and adapt to evolving techniques, technologies, and practice workflows. xavwley
Willingness to participate in continuing education, trainings, and certifications in advanced aesthetic and wellness modalities; prior experience with medical spa operations is a plus.
