Job description
Heavy Duty Cummins Truck Mechanic
Our dealership is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Duty Cummins Truck mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Truck mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks, with a focus on engine and transmission work, and other mechanical duties.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair engine and transmission issues on heavy duty trucks
Perform routine maintenance on trucks, including oil changes and brake inspections
Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot problems
Communicate with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needed
Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 years of experience working on heavy duty trucks
Certifications in Cummins
Strong knowledge of engine and transmission systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must have own tools
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
