Job description

American Wood FibersOverall Objective: Operates safely and efficiently to optimize the production and shipping of wood flour and shavings.FLSA Status: Non-exemptReports To: Shift SupervisorResponsibilitiesOperates various mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner unloading various raw material trailers and providing raw materials to the operational systems.Maintain mobile equipment as per the SOP (including blowdowns and routine service).Responsible for accurate record keeping in moving material into and out of the raw room.Supports the yardman as needed.Assist with keeping plant organized and clean on a daily basis. Workstation and equipment cleanup are required daily and during production runs if needed.QualityMaintains and verifies that all current quality assurance measures are being followed and communicated to supervisors, production employees, office personnel and customers.Assist in implementation of new procedures as needed.SafetyOperates equipment as per the SOP, following directions as provided.Keeps work area clean and organized.Utilizes all of the required PPE for the task being performed.This is a high dust environment and the equipment must be properly maintained while in operation.Help to keep others safe in the work place by looking out for them and participating in safety related improvements.Follow the safety protocols for the use of mobile equipment.Other ResponsibilitiesAvailability to work on any assigned shift including scheduled overtime (including Sunday).Establishes personal growth and works with fellow employees towards continuous improvement and teamwork.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Physical capability to bend, squat, or stoopPrevious mobile equipment and/or forklift preferredPhysical QualificationsAbility to work in extreme weatherAbility to wear PPE gear correctlyAbility to lift 25/50/80lbs regularlyAbility to respond quickly to soundsAbility to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spacesAbility to see and respond to dangerous situationsBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insuranceScheduleMonday – Friday7:00AM – 3:30 PMWork SettingIn-personOutdoor workWarehouseWork LocationOn-site, one location – Circleville, OHFor consideration…Due to the nature of our business, American Wood Fibers requires a tobacco and smoke-free environment.
