Job description

Equipment OperatorBemana is searching for Equipment Operators in Austin, TX to join the team led by former SpaceX engineers on a mission of automating civil construction through software, operational improvements, and robotics. This is a full-time, long term position with tons of room for growth.In this role, you will combine traditional heavy equipment operation with the use of advanced technologies like automation tools, tele-operation, and our proprietary Mission Control to execute earthworks involving clearing, grading, grubbing, and excavation.Position Offers:Up to $45/hr depending on experience. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.100% paid employee health insurance, dental, vision3 weeks of PTOEquity potentialResponsibilitiesOperate advanced heavy equipment for site prep and excavation (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, graders, skid steers, etc.)Learn how to use our proprietary Mission Control platform and on-site remote controlling technologyPerform daily equipment inspections, including onboard tech systems, and report maintenance needs through digital platformsExecute excavation tasks while adhering to project specifications and safety protocolsMaintain a safe work environment by following OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and site-specific protocolsAssist with minor equipment troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance partners for repairsBasic QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment for site prep and excavation (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, graders)Proven affinity with technological systems or use of construction softwareHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred Skills & ExperienceStrong understanding of earthworks processes (e.g., grading, compaction, trenching)High level of tech literacy and interest in new technologies (e.g., drones, simulators, or digital tools)Ability to read and interpret digital site plans, blueprints, and grade stakesAbility to work in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physically demanding tasksAdditional RequirementsWillingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours, including weekends when requiredComfortable working in a fast-paced startup environmentMust be willing to relocate to Austin, TX, if not within commuting distanceApplication ProcessIf your experience matches the description above, submit your resume, and one of our recruiters will be in touch to tell you more about the position and learn more about your experience and aspirations.If your experience does not match this job description, we still encourage you to reach out to one of our recruiters, so we can learn about your professional aspirations for future job openings.
