Job description
Ecowaste Solutions is a fast-growing company in a stable, essential industry, and our Heavy Equipment Operators are a critical part of what happens on the ground every day. In this role, you'll be dedicated to one of our landfill sites, operating off-road trucks, dozers, and excavators to haul dirt and process trash. This is hands-on, outdoor work in a fast-moving environment where your skills keep the site running safely and efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate off-road trucks, dozers, and excavators to haul dirt and process trash at the landfill.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment and report any issues promptly.
Perform work safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.
Follow all company safety standards, site rules, and applicable regulations.
Communicate with site supervisors regarding operational needs, equipment concerns, or site conditions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 1-2 years of heavy equipment operating experience required.
Experience with off-road trucks, dozers, and/or excavators required.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Landfill or waste industry experience a plus but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Dedicated landfill site position; outdoor work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
Exposure to dirt, dust, odors, and noise typical of landfill and heavy equipment operations.
Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
Full time hours, with additional hours as needed.
