Heavy Equipment Operator – BurlingtonMiles Sand & Gravel Company has been a trusted name in the industry for over 80 years, and we are seeking safety-focused and customer-oriented Heavy Equipment Operator Professionals to join our team in Western Washington. If you are an experienced operator looking for a stable, rewarding career with a company that values safety, professionalism and teamwork, this is the opportunity for you!What You'll Do:Operate various heavy equipment like dozers, front-end loaders, excavators, backhoes and other related equipment. Follow MSHA/OSHA safety procedures.Perform thorough pre and post trip inspection of the equipment.Safely and efficiently operate the equipment to prevent accidents and damage of property.What We're Looking For:A self-starter who can work independently, diligently and responsibly with minimal supervision; work as a member of a team; manage their time wisely; multi-task; meet a deadline.Minimum of 3 years' experienceHave basic mechanical working knowledge of heavy equipment to perform minor repairs on the equipment and then report larger repairs to the appropriate parties.Be physically capable of performing job tasks including safely lifting equipment.Strong work ethic, the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.Honest, responsible and trustworthy with confidential information.The ability to represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.What We Offer:$30.39 – $40.10 per hour.Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Wellness, Employee Assistance (EAP) (HSA & HRA)Paid Vacation (up to 40 hours the first year)Paid Holidays (7 per year)Paid Sick Leave (with annual cash-out for hours in excess of 40)Retirement Plan (Profit Sharing and 401K with Company match)Employee Referral BonusPrior to employment, applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
