Heavy Equipment OperatorVenture Metals + is a fast-growing, metal recycling company looking to grow its operations team with Heavy Equipment Operator at our Houston Plant.Duties and Responsibilities:Load and unload scrap metal materials with Grapple, forklift, or skid-steers.Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements.Observe all safety requirements and lead by example.Ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching.Ensure a clean and orderly workplace; clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.Adhere to, evaluate, and maintain proper service logs and maintenance requirements.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Outdoor position (under roofing) in all-weather environments: rain, snow, hot, coldCould be exposed to dust, fumes, high noise levels.PPE will be required for all employees.
