Location: Bridgeport, WV
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Express Employment Professionals is now hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators in Bridgeport, WV for a local oil and gas company. This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday opportunity for candidates with experience operating excavators, dozers, skid steers, telehandlers, and other heavy construction equipment .
If you have a background in oil and gas, excavation, construction, pipeline work, earthmoving, or heavy equipment operation , this is an excellent opportunity to put your skills to work with an established local company.
Heavy Equipment Operator Responsibilities
Safely operate and work around telehandlers, skid steers, mini excavators, large excavators, and dozers .
Operate heavy equipment in oil and gas, construction, and industrial work environments.
Load and unload equipment, tools, and materials from trucks and trailers.
Use proper rigging tools, lifting techniques, and material-handling procedures .
Move and position materials and equipment safely throughout the worksite.
Perform routine equipment inspections before and during operation.
Identify and report equipment or maintenance concerns.
Follow company safety procedures and jobsite requirements.
Maintain awareness of surrounding workers, equipment, and changing jobsite conditions.
Assist crews with additional field and general labor responsibilities as needed.
Heavy Equipment Operator Qualifications
Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
Experience operating one or more of the following is highly desirable: Excavators
Mini excavators
Dozers
Skid steers
Telehandlers
Previous oil and gas, pipeline, excavation, construction, or industrial experience is a plus.
Knowledge of safe equipment operation and material-handling practices.
Experience with rigging and lifting equipment is preferred.
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a field crew.
Valid driver's license required.
Must be able to meet the employer's background and drug-screening requirements.
