Job description
Equipment OperatorThe Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, environmentally responsible handling of material and operation of equipment as well as occasional operation of dump trucks.Essential Duties/Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesMove bulk and break-bulk material and cargo, and/or load trucks, through the use of heavy equipment including: A front-end loader, bulldozer, excavator, tri-axle dump truck, forklift and/or crane.Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.Perform general labor tasks to assist with material processing, property maintenance, pile maintenance, or other projects as needed.Perform general labor tasks associated with the use, care, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment.Perform daily clean-up of the work site.Follow all safety and operational policies, regulations, and programs.Successfully complete all required training programs.Interact effectively with other employees.Perform other duties as assigned and assist other staff as needed.Travel to other Company operations as needed.QualificationsHS Diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license and transportation, required. A CDL is preferred.Minimum 1–3 years' experience operating heavy equipment including: front-end loader, bulldozer, excavator, heavy forklift, cranes, CDL Class B trucks.Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.Good communication skills.Ability to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts required.Ability to travel to other Company operations when needed.Qualified individuals must have or meet the eligibility requirements for a TWIC.Physical RequirementsThese are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed.
