Heavy Equipment OperatorPay Rate: $30-40/hr. (based on experience)Location: York, PA (Primarily Local Work)Description:Cannonball Recruiting is seeking multiple Heavy Equipment Operators for a paving and excavating company located in York, PA.Requirements:HS Diploma or GED requiredValid driver's license and a clean driving record is requiredPrevious asphalt paving experience is highly desiredEquipment Operation & TroubleshootingQuality Control & Attention to DetailCommunication & Problem-SolvingTime Management & ProductivityPositive Attitude and self-motivatedJob Duties:Ensure precise operation of heavy machinery to create smooth, durable surfaces, and hold a gradeDaily Inspection: Conducts a thorough pre shift walk around to check fluid levels (oil, fuel, hydraulic), tire pressure, and track tension.Participates in paving plan and site-specific hazards.Communication: coordinate with the foreman, truck drivers, and ground crewPost-Inspection: Performs a final check for wear or damage and logs equipment hours or technical issues for the maintenance shopEquipment Cleaning: Uses release agents to remove asphalt from buckets, drums, hoppers, and conveyors to prevent buildup.Site Support: Assists the crew with manual labor, such as shovel and raking to finish edges and joints once equipment work is completeBenefits:Health / Dental / Vision InsurancePaid Time Off; Paid Holidays = 6Eligible for 401(k) after 1st Year (with company match up to 2%)Employer Paid Short Term DisabilityEmployer Paid Life Insurance 35k (Additional Voluntary Life Insurance available)FSA-Flexible Savings Accounts (pre or post-tax election)AFLAC – various plans/coverages availableTELADOC – U.S. board-certified doctors are available 24/7/365 to resolve many of your medical issues through phone or video consultsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) – confidential counseling and treatmentAll offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, driver's license check, and background check.
