Job description
Welder PositionWe are looking for a skilled and experienced welder to join our client's team in the heavy industrial sector. In this role, you will contribute to performing specialty welding tasks, ensuring high-quality welds, and maintaining safety and quality standards.Responsibilities:Operate a NAP (universal Welder)Perform specialty welding tasks on spool pieces, flanges, etc.Conduct MIG welding on carbon steel pipesInspect work for defects and ensure proper alignment of fittingsCheck the end grooves for proper depth and identify any bad seams or splits in pipesMaintain a clean and safe welding station while conforming to all safety and quality standardsReport all equipment malfunctions and safety issues that require repairsRequirements:3-5 years of welding and fabrication backgroundAbility to read a tape measure1 year of computer experience, including Outlook/EmailGood communication and teamwork skillsGeneral reading and writing skillsWillingness to work 2nd shift hours: 3pm-1:30am, Mon-Thurs, with mandatory overtime on FridaysPreferred Qualifications:Experience with safety and quality standards in a welding environmentFamiliarity with online training platforms like WorkdaySalary & Benefits:Competitive pay with mandatory overtime opportunities.
