Contract Duration: 13 weeks with ongoing coverage needs
Weekly Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week
Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts
Patient Volume: Approximately 15-20 patient encounters per shift
Department Size: 5 beds
Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,270-$7,420
Hematology/Oncology Physician Job Requirements At least 1 year of experience as a physician, preferably in hematology and oncology or internal medicine
Completion of fellowship training in hematology/oncology
Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty
Active Missouri physician license or eligibility to obtain one
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
Ability to provide documentation for credentialing, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 90 days
Hematology and Oncology Physician Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and follow-up assessments
Develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
Monitor treatment response, manage complications, and adjust therapies as clinically appropriate
Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
Provide compassionate, evidence-based hematology and oncology care while maintaining efficient patient flow
