Job description
Facility is seeking a Medical Oncology and Hematology Physician to provide outpatient clinic coverage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including clinic call as needed. This role is to cover a recruitment gap.
Reason for Coverage : Recruitment gap
Days Required : Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Coverage Type: Clinic and clinic call
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
On-Call Requirements: Clinic call only
Average Patients per Day: 15-20 outpatient clinic patients
EMR System: Cerner
100% Adult Outpatient
Practice Setting & Support : Oncology and Hematology outpatient clinic. Previously a two-physician practice with NP assistance
Support Staff Includes: -Oncology RNs
-Medical Assistants
-Social Worker
-Dietitian
-Nurse Navigator
Onsite Services: -Infusion center
-Onsite CBCs
-Recruitment for a full-time physician is ongoing
Procedures / Skills Required -Hematology outpatient care
-Oncology outpatient care
-Participation in tumor board
-Specialty Category: Hematology/Oncology
-Experience min 2 years
Submission Requirements
ALL MUST BE NOTATED AT TIME OF NAME CLEAR Provider must understand they will physically be working in LAPEER (REQUIRED)
Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology (REQUIRED), willing to review Truly BE providers
BLS/ACLS - (REQUIRED)
Active MI license - (REQUIRED), will not accept IMLC
Please provide availability at time of name clear - (REQUIRED)
Familiarity with Cerner EMR - (PREFERRED).
Copy of the NPDB, self-query requires at presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days) - (REQUIRED)
