Free-Standing Cancer Center South Carolina
A free-standing cancer center in South Carolina is seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide Hematology/Oncology coverage due to provider loss.
Assignment Details Dates: February 1, 2026 September 30, 2026
Setting: Outpatient Oncology with inpatient call/rounding
Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
EMR: EPIC
Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
Schedule & Call First call for patient and hospital calls:
Tuesday 4:30 PM Wednesday 8:00 AM
Friday 4:30 PM Monday 8:00 AM
On-site inpatient rounding on weekends
Call rotation every 5 6 weeks (based on staffing)
Clinical Breakdown 65% benign hematology
35% malignant oncology
Average outpatient volume: 15 patients/day
Average inpatient/call volume: 20 patients/day
Practice includes 8 physicians and 4 APPs
Responsibilities Management of bone marrow transplant patients
Blood bank coordination
Ordering labs and imaging
Prescribing and treatment management
Chemotherapy administered by oncology nursing staff
Travel & Expenses Facility reimburses flight, lodging, rental car, and mileage
Requirements Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
Active South Carolina license (or willingness to obtain)
BLS and DEA required
