Opportunity Overview Locum Tenens Opportunity Prime Staffing is seeking a qualified provider for an exciting assignment.
FIXED
MN License Required - Minnesota is not a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), nor is it a part of the separate APRN Compact for advanced practice registered nurses.
Start Date: ASAP
M-F 8-4:30pm
FTE Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practice Provider position.
Open to Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA)
Outpatient-focused oncology practice with inpatient collaboration as needed
Manage patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies
Work closely with hematologist/oncologists, infusion teams, nurse navigators, and support services
Epic EMR for coordinated, connected care
Work Details:
• Support staff: Yes
• Amount of coverage needed per month: Part-time 2-3 shifts, Mon -Fri
• Patients per day: 11-16
• Patient population/age: all ages
• Department description: Hematology/Oncology, total hospital size 686 beds
• EMR: EPIC
• Special procedures: Just hem/onc outpatient services
Practice Setting: Hospital
Requirements:
• Board Certification: PA or APP
• State license required: MN license

•Multidisciplinary care team onsite and via telehealth, including:
oOncology Nurse Navigator
oOncology Clinic RNs and LPNs
oInfusion nursing team
oOncology Research nurse
oRadiology department onsite. PETs (including PSMA PETs), MRI, & CT all available on site.
oLaboratory dept onsite.
oDedicated Oncology Social worker, dietitian, mental health support, financial navigator access
oOncology Provider Coordinator support -support scheduling
oCancer rehabilitation and survivorship services
oPalliative care and genetic counseling (telehealth supported)
oOncology/Infusion Department Nurse Manager
oPrior Authorization - centralized and supported by Allina

oOncology supportive therapies
•Access to clinical trials through MMCORC and NCI-supported research programs when eligible - AHCI New Ulm has a dedicated research nurse
Practice Environment
•Outpatient-focused practice with strong nursing and operational support
•Clinic dept (attached to Infusion dept) Dedicated clinic staff:
oRN Oncology Nurse Navigator, Clinic RNs, LPNs/CMAs, and access to oncology provider coordinator
o5 Clinic exam rooms.
•Infusion center includes:
oOpen infusion chairs and private treatment rooms (9 chairs, 2 private infusion tx rooms, 2 fast track triage rooms.
oInfusion team structured to support:
oHigh-acuity oncology treatments
oSafe administration and monitoring of therapies
