The facility is supported by a clinical team that includes medical assistants, nurse practitioners, and physicians to facilitate coordinated oncologic care delivery. Established clinical protocols are in place to support quality patient care throughout the covered assignment period.
About the Facility Location The area surrounding this assignment offers clinicians access to a range of historical, cultural, and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. Points of interest include a restored mid-19th century lighthouse offering coastal views, an aviation museum housed in a nationally recognized historic structure, and miles of walkable promenades along a preserved Victorian district. Water-based activities such as whale and dolphin watching cruises, kayaking, and birding opportunities at a nearby state park, as well as access to a free county zoo, provide diverse leisure options during time away from clinical duties.
About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no call or weekend obligations required. The clinical scope encompasses the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic follow-up cases for an adult patient population, with 12-14 patient encounters anticipated per day; no new consults are expected. Prescriptive authority is required for this assignment, and board certification in Hematology/Oncology is required.
