General Hematology/Oncology Physician Opening Elkins, WV Located in Elkins, West VirginiaFull-Time, Permanent Practice Overview Full-time General Hematology/Oncology opportunity in Elkins, West Virginia Join a newly established hematology and oncology program expanding cancer care access in the region Provide evaluation and management of a broad range of hematologic and oncologic conditions On-site infusion services available Supported by a robust subspecialty network and clinical trials infrastructure Opportunity to collaborate with specialists across the state Academic appointment available at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level based on qualifications Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows Opportunity to help build and grow a new oncology program in a medically underserved community Practice may include travel to additional clinical sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania based on operational needs Full-time schedule (40 hours per week) Compensation & Recruitment Package Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package Academic appointment commensurate with experience Additional recruitment incentives may be available Job Qualifications MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency Completion of a Hematology/Oncology fellowship West Virginia medical license or eligibility All qualifications must be completed by the time of appointment Benefits Comprehensive employed physician benefits package Academic teaching opportunities Access to clinical trials and multidisciplinary subspecialty support Professional growth within an expanding academic health system Community DetailsElkins, West Virginia offers a relaxed lifestyle surrounded by the scenic Appalachian Mountains, with exceptional outdoor recreation including hiking, fishing, skiing, and camping.
