General Hematologist/Oncologist Opening Keyser, WV Petersburg, WV Oakland, MD Located in Keyser, West Virginia; Petersburg, West Virginia; and Oakland, MarylandFull-Time, Permanent Practice Overview Full-time General Hematology/Oncology opportunity serving the Potomac Highlands region Practice across Keyser, WV; Petersburg, WV; and Oakland, MD Academic appointment available at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level based on qualifications Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for hematologic and oncologic conditions Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows Join a growing Department of Medical Oncology with more than 75 physicians and advanced practice providers across 15 practice sites Collaborate with over 900 community partners to deliver cancer care closer to home Opportunity to participate in nationally recognized outreach initiatives, including Mobile Cancer Screening Programs Practice in modern community hospitals serving a multi-county rural population with access to specialty services May provide services at additional locations throughout West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania based on operational needs Compensation & Recruitment Package Competitive compensation Comprehensive employed physician benefits package Academic appointment based on experience and qualifications Recruitment incentives may be available Job Qualifications MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency Completion of a Hematology/Oncology fellowship West Virginia and/or Maryland medical license or eligibility All qualifications must be completed by the time of appointment Benefits Comprehensive employed physician benefits package Academic teaching opportunities with medical students, residents, and fellows Access to a large multidisciplinary oncology network and subspecialty support Opportunities for professional growth within an expanding academic health system Community DetailsThe Potomac Highlands region of West Virginia and Western Maryland offers a low cost of living, welcoming rural communities, and outstanding outdoor recreation including hiking, fishing, boating, skiing, and state parks.
