Medical Oncology / Hematology Physician (Medical Director)Location: Pagosa Springs, CO - Durango 60m, Sante Fe 150mEmployment Type: Full-Time, permanent position Position OverviewSeeking a Medical Oncology/Hematology Physician to serve as Medical Director of a Cancer Center. This is a leadership-focused opportunity combining clinical care, program development, and quality initiatives in a patient-centered environment. Schedule Full-time: 4x10-hour shifts per week 260 hours PTO annually Designed to support strong work-life balance Position Highlights Leadership role as Medical Director of the Cancer Center Outpatient-focused oncology and infusion services Opportunity to shape program growth and clinical quality Collaborative, community-based care environment Clinical Responsibilities Manage oncology and hematology patients across the care continuum Conduct exams, treatment planning, and follow-up care Oversee infusion services and coordinate multidisciplinary care Order and interpret labs and imaging Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives Provide leadership and oversight for cancer center operations Compensation Base Salary: $474,000 - $624,000 Starting Bonus: $20,000 Annual CME Bonus: $6,000 Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision options Life insurance Malpractice coverage provided PSLF eligible employer Retirement 401a plan (6% employer + 6% employee contribution, vested over time) Optional 457 plan Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology/Hematology Minimum 3 years of experience preferred Eligible for Colorado medical licensure Practice Environment Dedicated Cancer Center with infusion services Emphasis on quality care, leadership, and program development Supportive administrative and clinical team Community Located in a scenic mountain region known for outdoor recreation, hot springs, and a relaxed lifestyle Ideal for physicians seeking high compensation with a strong quality of life Estimated pay range/amount is $203,754 to $495,079.
