Join Our Team at Avera Cancer Institute Pierre
We re seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
What You ll Do
This position will provide comprehensive cancer care in a state-of-the-art environment with senior level mentors, full cancer genomics team, advanced clinical trials and cutting-edge clinical offerings in a highly collegial environment that drives improved patient outcomes and caring for the whole person. Academic appointments and teaching opportunities are provided through the University of South Dakota.
Schedule 4.5-day work week, Monday Friday, with daytime hours.
Outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice
Adult inpatients managed by Hospitalist Team.
Minimal to No call
Qualifications MD or DO, licensed (or eligible) in South Dakota
Board-certified or board-eligible in South Dakota
DEA certification (state and federal)

Fixed Wing Located in Pierre for easy transfer to tertiary care facility.
Expert Team Work alongside 39 physicians and 28 advance practice providers in a multi-specialty group featuring family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, rehab medicine, emergency medicine, radiology, general surgery, urology, dermatology, podiatry, ophthalmology, medical oncology, radiation oncology and orthopedics.
E-Care Access to specialist via technology: eICU, eEmergecny, eLTC, eConsult, eAccess, ePharmacy, eBehavioral Health and Transfer Center.
