Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time locum opportunity beginning in late September 2026. This assignment combines outpatient oncology with light inpatient rounding and offers temporary privileges for an expedited start.

Schedule
Monday Friday
Clinic: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Night Call: 5:00 PM 8:00 AM
1 2 weekend 24-hour call shifts per month (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
Practice Setting
Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Clinic
Acute Care Hospital
EMR: 80% Paper / 20% Meditech
Clinical Responsibilities
Outpatient Hematology and Medical Oncology care
Manage approximately patients per day
Daily inpatient rounding (typically 1 2 hours based on consult volume)
Perform bone marrow biopsies as clinically indicated
Collaborate with hospital specialists and oncology support staff
Patient Volume

Light inpatient consult service
Requirements
MD or DO
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
Active Rhode Island medical license (facility will wait for licensure)
Rhode Island CSR required
DEA required
Board certification verification required at submission
Rhode Island license verification required if already licensed
Credentialing
Temporary privileges available for qualified providers
Earlier start possible through temporary privileging
