Job description
ATC West Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for ongoing locum coverage due to a physician relocation. This position includes primarily inpatient oncology coverage with some outpatient responsibilities, along with oversight of a Nurse Practitioner, participation in clinical research enrollment, and call coverage.

Job Details & Responsibilities Facility Information:
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Practice Setting: Primarily inpatient, with some outpatient coverage
Specialty Areas: Medical Oncology and Hematology
Reason for Coverage: Physician departure due to relocation
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide hematology and oncology patient care
Manage both inpatient and outpatient oncology cases
Supervise and provide oversight to a Nurse Practitioner
Participate in enrolling eligible patients into research studies
Provide call coverage as part of the assignment
Patient Volume & Team Structure:
Adult patient population only
Average inpatient census: patients per day
Two physicians currently in the practice
EMR System:
Epic
Required Skills & Qualifications Required:
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
Active Virginia medical license
BLS certification
Willingness to oversee a Nurse Practitioner
Willingness and interest in enrolling patients in research studies
Ability to participate in call coverage
Credentialing Requirements:
Clean background required for temporary privileges
NPDB documentation required during name clear
Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is mandatory
