Job description
Call for Board Director Candidates Are you enthusiastic about parks, recreation and building vibrant communities? The Hempfield Rec is currently seeking a passionate, strategic, and community-minded individual to join our Board of Directors. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our organization and contribute to its mission, vision, and long-term success.
About the Role
Board Directors play a vital role in guiding our organization's strategic direction, ensuring financial sustainability, and upholding our values. Directors are expected to attend regular monthly board meetings, actively participate in committee work, and serve as ambassadors for our mission. This role begins January 1, 2027, and is for a three-year term.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about strengthening our community and supporting Hempfield Rec's mission. While no candidate is expected to bring every skill listed below, experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable:
•Finance or accounting
•Nonprofit governance
•Fundraising or capital campaigns
•Grant writing
•Marketing, communications, or public relations
•Community engagement and relationship building
•Strategic planning and organizational leadership
