Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to join our team and provide high-quality support to clients in the comfort of their homes. In this role, you will help promote dignity, safety, and independence while assisting with day-to-day needs and offering meaningful companionship.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, as appropriate
Support mobility, transfers, and positioning while following safe care practices
Provide help with meal preparation, feeding support, and light housekeeping tasks
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance client well-being
Remind clients to take medications as directed, when permitted by care guidelines
Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or environment to the appropriate supervisor
Maintain accurate records of care provided and follow individualized care plans
Adhere to all safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and agency policies
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an approved home health aide training program, where required
Current certification or willingness to obtain certification based on local requirements
Experience providing personal care or in-home support is an asset
Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and work independently
Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and respectful approach
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to client homes, as needed
Ability to lift, move, and assist clients in accordance with safe work practices
