HHA Supervisor - Orange, CT
Constellation Health is seeking a dynamic Full-Time Home Health Aid Supervisor to join our team in Orange, CT!
Must have their CT RN License to be considered
The Supervisor of Home Health Aides is responsible for the orientation, training and supervision of the HHA staff. Position requires supervisory visits in the field for all geographic territories covered by the agency. Ensures all compliance with all state, federal and agency regulations
Position Requirements: A Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Connecticut. Previous Home Care clinical experience required. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Essential Functions:
1. Assesses and supervises the delivery of home health aide services for the agency.
2. Participates in the recruitment process for all new staff.
3. Updates Administrator and Human Resources on staffing needs.
4. Provides initial orientation and training of new HHAs, including appropriate and safe techniques in performing personal hygiene and grooming tasks that include bed bath, sponge, tub and shower bath, and hair shampooing in the sink, tub and bed.
5. Supervisor provides training on recognition and reporting of changes in patients' skin condition and is responsible for the training of HHAs for skills not covered, as needed.
6. Provides in home supervision of HHAs for skills assessment and performance evaluations annually as needed.
7. Evaluates HHAs based on direct observation and feedback from patients and Primary Care physicians.
8. Reviews HHA notes for accuracy and compliance with written care plan. Reinstructs HHA when needed.
9. Works with Scheduling Supervisor as needed on issues.
10. Responds to patient questions and complaints pertaining to HHA issues.
11. Coordinates monthly HHA in-service education. Ensures compliance with mandatory in-service hours.
12. Interprets the role of the HHA in relation to professional nursing, members of the health team.
13. Participates in administrative activities as directed.
14. Keeps informed of updated compliance and regulatory requirements.
15. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse Licensed in the state of employment.
At least 1-2 years of RN experience is a MUST
Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle
Previous Hospice care strongly desired
Basic knowledge of iOs operating system
