This position requires operating the machine in safe manner while following established safety policies, properly tracking the raw materials used and the finished good produced, and keeping the machine at 5S standards. An Operator must be able to work overtime when required and perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor or team lead.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIESEfficiently operate the assigned napkin machine in a safe manner, meeting daily established production goalsEfficiently perform machine make-readiesAccurately report daily production of machineRead and interpret a manufacturing order to ensure finished product meets specificationsEffectively troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as neededWork overtime as necessary to cover other shift operators and meet overall production demandEnsure correct product (raw materials, sizes, ink colors, quantities, etc.) are being manufacturedDocument and quality check output of machines to ensure consistency and qualityWear appropriate PPE and conduct work with a safety-focused mindset, follow all company safety policiesReport any unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor or lead personMaintain 5S standardsKNOWLEDGERequired Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment; paper converting and/or printing machinery preferredKnowledge of best practices and procedures for machine operationSkill in oral and written communicationBasic math skills requiredSkill in working well with others / teamworkAbility to flexible, self-directed, and motivated to improve processesAbility to be patient and adaptable to unforeseen changesAbility to work overtime when neededAbility to communicate effectively with team membersAbility to come to work prepared, on-time, and with a positive attitudeEducationMin/PreferredEducation LevelDescriptionPreferredHigh School or GEDVocational / TechnicalRelated certifications (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc.)Years Of ExperienceMinimum Years of ExperienceComments3Manufacturing experience: paper converting or printing industries preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSStandard Shift LengthAbility to Lift/Push/PullPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)Other Physical Requirements8+ hours depending on workloadUp to 50 lbs.PPE is required, which includes safety shoes, eye protection and hearing protectionSignificant walking and standing; Incidental ClimbingSCHEDULEC Shift :Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Sunday (7:00AM -7:15PM)
