Job Title: Structural Steel Fabricator Pay: $24.00–$28.00/hour + DOE Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00/7:00 AM–2:30 PM Start Date: ASAP Looking for a rewarding career that combines skill and pride? Join an established Albany fabrication shop as a Structural Steel Fabricator in Albany, OR and make an impact every day. As a Structural Steel Fabricator, you'll transform blueprints into finished steel assemblies. You'll work closely with a dedicated team to deliver quality results that stand the test of time. What You'll Do As a Structural Steel Fabricator, you will be responsible for - Laying out, fitting, and fabricating structural steel components and assemblies from start to finish. Reading and working from blueprints, weld symbols, and detailed fabrication drawings. Measuring, marking, cutting, and fitting materials with accuracy. Setting up steel components for precise fit-up and welding. Operating grinders, cutting tools, forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment. Moving and positioning heavy steel safely and efficiently. Collaborating closely with welders and other team members to keep projects on schedule. Performing structural MIG welding when needed. Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets all specifications and quality standards. What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have - Previous experience in structural steel fabrication. MIG welding and fit-up expertise. Strong ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and detailed drawings. Confidence with measurements, layout, calculations, and fabrication math. Knowledge of structural steel terminology and fabrication techniques. The ability to work independently with accuracy. Dependability and good attendance. Physical ability to lift 50–75 lbs. and stay active during the shift. Demonstrated skill in structural layout and fabrication during the interview process.
