Home Health Aide - (Certified Nurse Assistant) Orland Park, ILOur company is an established home healthcare company that has been servicing patients in Orland Park seeking a high-energy, self-initiating, and caring Home Health Aide. You must be a Certified Nurse Assistance (CNA) to apply for this role.Environmental requirements:Primarily work in patient residences and retirement communities' o Travel required to changing assignments/addressesPossible exposure to Bloodborne pathogensPossible exposure to sharps/needlesPosition is out of the office 95% of the time o Possible exposure to communicable illnessesResponsibilities:Assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, weighing, back rubs, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting and hair careChanging bed linensMeasuring intake and output o Assisting with patient transfers o Cleaning perineal area around catheterObtaining patient temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressureCollecting stool and urine specimens o Maintaining a safe environment for the patientProtecting the patient from falls o Communicating with the patient o Providing good skin careMaking observations of the patient's condition and reporting the results to the Registered Nurse/TherapistAssisting with ambulation o Assisting with range of motion exercises o Providing physical and emotional support as requiredThe nurse or therapist assesses the need for personal care services and includes the services in the physician plan of care (orders).
