Home Health AideWe are searching for enthusiastic, caring team members for our continuing care community to provide professional caregiving and home management services that will enable the client to remain independent in his or her own home. The Home Health Aide will follow the client's care plan which specifies exactly what services are provided for that individual client.Position Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant with an accredited institution, listed with the Connecticut State Registry or certification as a Home Health Aide.Active driver's license in the State of Connecticut, automobile insurance and a reliable vehicle.Preferred experience working with the senior population; will train new graduates.Skills and Competencies:Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearlyMust be able to relate to the elderly in a dignified manner and build a relationship with residents that are positive and supportive.Maintain in-service hours required for certification and by company policy.Competent use of equipment such as mechanical lifts, scales, and assistive mobility devices.Must be physically able to lift and carry moderately heavy loads and walk and stand for extended periods.Working knowledge of computers and ability to learn and utilize electronic documentation.All Employees Receive:Annual Increases and Resident Appreciation ChecksPayActiv Program!
