Preferred Companion Homecare
Preferred Companion Homecare is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide quality non-medical care to clients in their homes throughout Northern New Jersey.
We are looking for caregivers who take pride in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.
Position: Home Health Aide (HHA)
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Per Diem Location: Northern New Jersey Schedule: Flexible shifts available, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Personal care and hygiene assistance
Bathing, dressing, and grooming
Toileting and incontinence care
Meal preparation and light housekeeping
Medication reminders, as permitted
Assist with ambulation and transfers
Provide companionship and supervision
Accompany clients to appointments or errands when needed
Observe and report changes in the client's condition
Follow the client's care plan and agency policies
Maintain a safe, respectful, and clean environment
Qualifications
Valid New Jersey Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
Previous homecare experience preferred
Reliable transportation is a plus
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
Dependable, punctual, and professional
Ability to work independently in a client's home
Must be able to pass required background and employment screenings
