Our focus is to help facilitate a smooth and safe transition home and provide life-changing service with the amount of care and dignity our patients and their families deserve.Sequoia Home Health is growing and looking for experienced, compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team!Job DescriptionA Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) is a member of the interdisciplinary team and works under the supervision of a registered nurse performing various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient's needs. Home health aides are responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide personal care including: Baths, Back rubs, Oral hygiene, Shampoos, and Change bed linenAssist patients with dressing and undressingPerform nail and skin care to prevent breakdownAssist the patient with toileting activitiesKeep patient's living area clean and orderlyAssist in feeding the patientTake and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when orderedAssist in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of carePerform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as orderedAssist patient in the self-administration of medicationMeet safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)Report on patient's condition and significant changes to the assigned nurseJob RequirementsActive Home Health Aide Certification through the CA Department of Public HealthAt least 18 years of ageAbility to work with little direct supervisionPossess and maintains current CPR certificationLicensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working orderAbility to perform prolonged or considerable walking or standingAbility to lift, position, or transfer patientsAbility to lift supplies and equipmentAbility to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouchSequoia Home Health and Hospice is part of the Cornerstone Group with close to 80 agencies throughout the country.
