n nAs a Home Health Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
nnProvide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
nAssist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
nHelp with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
nProvide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
nEnsure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
nParticipate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
n nA few must-haves for Home Health Aides:
nnCertification of training of Home Health Aide (HHA), CNA, STNA registration in Ohio.
n12 months of Hands-on Personal Care in a supervised setting.
nValid Ohio driver’s license, auto insurance and your own transportation.
nCompassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
