Job description
Home Health AidWe are looking for a Home Health Aid to join our team! You will directly work with clients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.Responsibilities:Assist patients with daily activities such as transferring in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobilesCare for clients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, preparing meals, or assisting with personal careMaintain records of client care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisorBuild relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alertGive medication remindersEngage patients in exercises or other activitiesQualifications:Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program OR able to pass the Florida Home Health Aide competency test that we will administer prior to your interview.High School Diploma or GEDTwo years of prior experience in senior caregivingValid driver's licenseProof of auto insurance with your name on the policyProof of current CPR certification (Valid means the CPR course was certified by the American Heart Association and includes in-person validation of your skills)Ability to pass AHCA background screening which you can learn more about at $16.00 - $17.00 per hourOvation Home Care is creating a better future for aging seniors by creating a better now for the people who serve them.
