nJob Description:

nnnEnsures patient comfort and safety during care activities.

n

nnMonitors and reports patient progress to health professionals.

n

nnAssists Home Health patients with activities of daily living such as bathing and personal care.

n

nnHelps Home Health patients with instrumental activities of daily living including meal preparation, grocery shopping, housework, laundry, and telephone use.

n

nnProvides orientation and training for newly hired staff.

n

nnMaintains accurate patient records and adheres to care protocols.

n

nnPerforms other duties as assigned.

n

n nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

nnnMust be proficient in the English language. (Required)

nnReliable transportation. (Required)

nnMust be able to read and write in English. (Required)

nnDemonstrates basic computer skills. (Required)

nnKnowledge of regulatory requirements (Preferred).

n nField of Study:

nnCompletion of a minimum of seventy-five (75) hours of documented home health aide training with at least sixteen (16) hours of supervised practical training by a qualified RN covering essential care skills and knowledge areas.

n nWork Experience:

nnn1+ employment experience as a nurse's aide in an institutional setting. (Required)

nnHome Care experience (Preferred)

nnnBasic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)

nnAdvanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) (Preferred)
