nJob Description
nThe Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) provides personal care, companionship, and homemaking services that support the client’s comfort and health at home. Services are performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
nResponsibilities include:
nAssisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility support
nProviding companionship and emotional support
nLight housekeeping including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment
nMeal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping
nAssisting with ambulation, transfers, and prescribed exercises
nSupporting independence while maintaining client dignity
nMonitoring and reporting changes in client condition to the supervising nurse
nAttending company-provided ongoing training and continuing education (CEUs)
nQualifications
nActive New Jersey CHHA Certification (required)
nHigh school diploma/GED preferred
nCPR certification preferred
nClear background check and drug screening
nMust be dependable, compassionate, and have excellent communication skills
nReliable transportation required
nPhysical Requirements
nAbility to safely lift up to 30 lbs and assist clients with mobility
nAbility to drive to client homes (some may not be wheelchair accessible)
nGood vision, hearing, and overall physical health
nWork Location
nClient homes throughout South Jersey including Gloucester County, Glassboro, Mullica Hill, Williamstown, Pitman, Clayton, Franklinville, Woodbury, Mantua Township, Elk Township, Washington Township, Paulsboro, Gibbsboro, Pennsville, Penns Grove, Salem, Swedesboro, Vineland, Millville and nearby areas
