Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant – PTALynchburg, VaJob Title: Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant – PTALocation: Lynchburg, VA (& Surrounding Areas)Schedule: Part-Time / PRN (Flexible Scheduling Available)Pay: Competitive Per-Visit Rates (varies based on visit type)Job Overview:We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant – PTA to provide personalized, one-on-one therapy services in a home setting throughout Lynchburg and the surrounding coverage areas. This position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working independently while helping patients regain strength, mobility, balance, and overall functionality in their daily environment.As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant – PTA, you will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to carry out individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or chronic conditions. This role requires travel to patient homes throughout the service area.Responsibilities of Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant – PTA:Provide home-based physical therapy services under the direction of a supervising Physical TherapistAssist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, balance training, gait training, and mobility activitiesMonitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical TherapistReinforce and carry out individualized treatment plans established by the Physical TherapistEducate patients and family members on exercises, mobility techniques, safety precautions, and home exercise programsAssist patients in improving strength, endurance, coordination, and functional mobilityDocument patient visits, progress, and treatment responses accurately and timelyCollaborate with interdisciplinary team members including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, OTs, and SLPs to support patient goals and continuity of careMaintain compliance with home health regulations and company policiesQualifications of Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant – PTA:Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) programActive PTA license in the state of VirginiaMinimum of 1 year of PTA experience preferred (home health experience preferred)CPR certification and TB baseline screening requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood clinical judgment and ability to work independentlyReliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service areaCompassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented mindsetWhy Join Us?Flexible schedulingOne-on-one patient careAutonomy and work-life balanceSupportive and collaborative team environmentOnline training and CEU opportunitiesTuition discounts through Rasmussen UniversityOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in patients’ lives
