Job description
A pharmacy opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist with experience in home infusion and IV medication verification. This per diem contract role supports a regional facility just south of Birmingham, AL, requiring coverage from Wednesday, September 2 through Friday, September 4. The scheduled shifts run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities include verifying and checking medication orders, primarily focusing on infusion therapies and total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Candidates with prior infusion pharmacy experience are preferred; however, inpatient pharmacists familiar with IV/TPN verification will also be considered. Familiarity with the CareTend system is essential to efficiently perform daily duties.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Current and active Alabama pharmacist license in good standing
Experience with home infusion pharmacy or inpatient IV/TPN verification
Proficiency in the CareTend pharmacy system
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication verification
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Alabaster, Alabama (just south of Birmingham)
Schedule/Hours: Wednesday, 9/2: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, 9/3: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday, 9/4: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
