Job description
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist with IV certification to provide per diem coverage in a well-established home infusion setting. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and safety of IV and TPN preparations by conducting precise verification and checking processes.
Location:
Pelham, AL (near Hoover, just south of Birmingham)
Schedule: Wednesday, 9/2 to Friday, 9/4
Shift hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities: Accurately checking and verifying IV and TPN orders to ensure patient safety and compliance
Collaborating with clinical teams to support infusion therapy services
Utilizing the CareTend system effectively for medication management
Maintaining adherence to pharmacy regulations and standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current and active AL pharmacist license in good standing
Prior experience in infusion pharmacy preferred, though inpatient pharmacists experienced in IV/TPN verification are also encouraged to apply
IV certification is required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
