Part-Time HomemakerWe are offering a $250 sign-on bonus for new employees.Are you excited by the prospect of working for an organization that truly values your contributions, provides opportunities for growth and development, and gives you a chance to make a difference in the lives of children and families?What You Will Do:The Homemaker is a non-exempt position responsible for the maintenance and management of assigned clients' homes, including but not limited to, performing homemaker functions and assistance with assigned housekeeping tasks. The primary goal of this position is to help the elderly and disabled in the Pinellas County area to remain living independently in their chosen home environment and avoid premature nursing home placement.Assist in household management tasks such as grocery shopping, cooking, reading mail, paying bills, and errandsComplete light home maintenance tasks such as house cleaning, laundry, trash removal, vacuuming and dustingAssist Clients with transportation to doctor's appointments where necessaryProvide written reports of client contact and services renderedProvide companionship to elderly clients when requiredPerform all other duties as assignedWhat We Offer:$15.45 per hourPaid Time Off based on the number of hours worked.Immediate eligibility to participate in 403b Savings Plan with 25% match.Continuous training and professional development opportunitiesMileage ReimbursementAn opportunity to make the world a better place!What You Will Need:High School Diploma or equivalent, highly desired, but not required.Experience working with the elderly or disabled and household maintenance and management, highly desiredAbility to work in diverse areas and with multicultural populationsAbility to use manual dexterity when working with clientsAbility to lift and/or carry groceries, laundry, trash, etc. up to 30 lbsAbility to reach, bend, crouch, stand and climb stairs while performing household tasks in client homesMust adhere to and utilize safety measures when using household chemicals and other household materialsAbility to read, write and follow written and verbal instructionMust have the ability effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and staffAbility to work in the field at any given time, season or climate in an indoor and outdoor environmentAbility to work overtime when requiredMust pass the agency Level I and Level II employment screenings to include drug screening and motor vehicle checks.Must have a valid drivers' license with auto insurance coverageFrom babies to seniors, Gulf Coast JFCS serves all people in need, regardless of race, religion, culture, or gender identity.
