Horizon - LifeguardUniversity School of Nashville - Nashville, TNOverviewPosition Type SeasonalDescriptionJob Summary: A lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of our students in and around aquatic environments such as pools, beaches, and water parks. This role involves monitoring activities, preventing accidents, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety rules.QualificationsKey Responsibilities:Continuously observe swimmers and surrounding areas to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviorEnforce all facility rules and safety regulationsRespond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing water rescues and administering first aid or CPRMaintain a clean and safe environment, including checking equipment and reporting issuesProvide assistance and guidance to students regarding water safetyQualifications:Current lifeguard certification (e.g., CPR, First Aid, AED)Strong swimming skills and physical fitnessAbility to remain alert and focused for extended periodsGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to stay calm and act decisively in emergenciesWork Environment: Lifeguards typically work outdoors or in indoor aquatic facilities.
