nJoin our compassionate hospice care team as a Hospice Aide - Inpatient, where you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families every day. Working closely with the RN Case Manager and interdisciplinary hospice team, you will provide compassionate personal care, homemaking support, and companionship to patients facing end-of-life journeys. nResponsibilities
n· Uses appropriate and safe techniques in performing personal hygiene and grooming tasks such as bed or tub bath, shower assistance, hair care, oral hygiene, toileting and incontinence care, light housekeeping, and other tasks assigned by the RN case manager
n· Creates successful interpersonal relationships with patients/families while maintaining personal and professional boundaries
n· Reports changes in the patient’s medical, nursing, and social needs to the RN case manager as the changes relate to the plan of care
n· Completes rover care plan accurately and in a timely manner while being compliant with the hospice program policies and procedures
n· Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
nQualifications
nEducation:
nnCompletion of a Nursing Assistant Training Program of a minimum of 75 hours with no continuous period of 24 months without compensation for Home Care Aide/CNA work since completion
n nLicensure/Certifications:
nnnValid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
n
nnCPR Certification
n
nnValid Mandatory Reporter course completion by state(s) requirement
n
n nExperience:
nnCompletion of a Nursing Assistant Training Program of a minimum of 75 hours with no continuous period of 24 months without compensation for Home Care Aide/CNA work after completion.
